The Story of Iron Habits

Iron Habits was born out of desperation.
At 27, I was already burning out as a teacher — exhausted, irritable, unstable, and feeling like a shell of the man I wanted to be. Every day felt like being ground into dust. I thought that if I could just get in better shape, and get a bit more organized, everything else would fall into place.

So I built what I called the Iron Habits — a simple, structured framework for fitness that helped me get stronger and healthier while freeing up my mind to focus on work.
But here’s the painful truth:
While I saw significant changes in my body, my life didn’t change at all.
I was still lost. Still stuck. Still in the dark.
That’s when I realized this wasn’t a “teaching” or "health" problem — it was a heart problem. And I wasn’t alone. I started noticing it everywhere: other guys my age, in other jobs, fighting the same invisible battle.
I had been calling myself a leader, a hard worker, a difference-maker. But the truth was, behind the scenes, I was living a life shaped by selfishness, pride, anger, dishonesty, and greed. Strength and abs weren’t solving the problem — because the real issue wasn’t my body. It was my heart, my attitude, and my priorities.
As I pursued deeper change, Iron Habits evolved too.

Marriage and fatherhood only sharpened the need for foundational habits — not just for fitness, but for life. What started as a fitness tactic became a set of principles for fatherhood, leadership, and manhood.
Today, these habits are the foundation that allow me to show up as a provider, a father, a husband, and a leader.
My mission now is simple:
To help other dads like me cut through the chaos, build lasting strength, and lead their families well — not just in the gym, but in life.
